Launch of new guide to help businesses during the recession
On behalf of the economic prosperity Delivery Partnership a new online resource was launched at the Chamber of Commerce Bank of England lunch on 20th August.
Called Building Business Success, this new resource points businesses of Suffolk in the right directions for help, it includes everything from grants and access to finance to training to procurement opportunities.
A printed version is also available however the on-line version, which can be found at http://www.onesuffolk.co.uk/suffolkbusiness or www.suffolkbusiness.info , will be easily updated by the SCC economic development team.
Bursaries 4 Business
Funded by the Performance Reward grant, this new initiative will provide a range of finance tools to private and social businesses during the recession.
The project partnership is made up of SCC, Suffolk Acre and NWES working in close partnership with MENTA.
There are 3 elements to B4B. The first is about bursaries and loans for SMEs or start ups, the second is about bursaries for social and community businesses whose primary aim is to boost employment and economic growth and the last is about supporting those rural businesses who have recruitment problems due to their inaccessibility by public transport.
Successful case studies will feature in this newsletter in the future.
