Infrastructure Network Suffolk Launch new website for VCS representatives
Posted on: Thursday, 20 August 2009
Infrastructure Network Suffolk (INS) is made up of bodies whose primary purpose is to provide the core functions associated with the voluntary and Community sector (VCS) infrastructure support, including development, support, liaison, representation and strategic partnership work.
Their new website www.representationinsuffolk.co.uk explains the structure of representation in the county and how the VCS is an integral part of the strategic decision making process in Suffolk.
Through this involvement the VCS brings experience, knowledge and skills to help design and deliver more effective services. The VCS is also uniquely placed to identify and stand up for the needs of disadvantaged or marginalised people in the community.
The website contains details about being a representative and includes statements from VCS and statutory bodies recognising the importance of VCS representation in our county. For more information about representation in Suffolk and the website, contact Gill Peat: Partnership Development Officer, Suffolk Local Infrastructure Partnership on 07935 722936 or e-mail gill.peat@onevoicesuffolk.co.uk
