Culture and Sport

Culture and sport can make a difference to the quality of our lives. They can provide opportunities for everyone to interact and engage within our communities. They can contribute to our quality of life through basic functions like everyday health and well-being and by preventing ill health. Equally culture and sport contributes to our more complex needs such as learning, creativity and innovation, and to personal development, being part of something positive, and being included.

In summary culture and sport can help to deliver safer and healthier and more inclusive communities. These values are at the heart of why Culture and Sport is embedded within the Local Area Agreement and Transforming Suffolk - Suffolk’s Community Strategy 2008-2028.

The Culture and Sport Delivery Partnership is the strategic partnership responsible for working together to deliver improvements against both the cultural LAA2 targets and related outcomes within Transforming Suffolk.

The Culture and Sport Delivery Partnership will therefore focus on the LAA2 targets and the NI set. In addition the Partnership will explore the potential for culture and sport to deliver against a range of other LAA and community strategy outcomes and LAA2 targets in conjunction with the other Delivery Partnerships.
