Through Transforming Suffolk – Suffolk’s Community Strategy 2008-2028, Suffolk partners have forcefully demonstrated their commitment to ensuring Suffolk has a vibrant and diverse economy which inspires people and communities to succeed. Suffolk wants an economy (supported by a better skilled workforce) which creates wealth for our growing population, provides high value better paid employment opportunities through retaining and attracting business into Suffolk and supporting the development of our emerging markets, supported by improved infrastructure. Suffolk also wants an economy which is not overtly detrimental to our greenest county ambitions.

The Economic Prosperity Delivery Partnership will concentrate on the following 3 focus areas:

Use Suffolk’s unique selling points to capture emerging markets
Reduce economic inequalities across the county
Transport and infrastructure to support sustainable economic growth

To achieve these ambitions, everyone has to play their part. Public sector stakeholders, the private sector and individuals themselves need to consider how they can contribute to making Suffolk an economically vibrant place to live and work.
