Suffolk Collaborative

The Suffolk Collaborative is a new grouping of chief executives of public, private and voluntary sector organisations in Suffolk. This includes councils, NHS trusts, police, businesses and umbrella organisations.

The Collaborative was formed from the Suffolk Strategic Partnership's Performance Management Group and the Leadership Collaborative from the Lives We Lead programme, a project to develop collaboration across organisations in Suffolk. Rather than continue as two separate groups, a single collaborative has been formed.

The Collaborative is bringing together the functions of the previous groups, namely an 'inquiry' style of learning and strategic leadership of the priorities set out in the community strategy. The Collaborative is chaired by Richard Lister, Acting Chief Executive of University Campus Suffolk.

They have established a work programme of the following themes:

  • Helping people to help themselves;
  • Connecting communities;
  • Demonstrating Suffolk’s aspirations;
  • Simplifying public services through collaboration.

Work on these themes will underpin delivery of the Community Strategy.

There is now national recognition that Suffolk’s approach in setting up the Suffolk Collaborative and taking forward the future shape of public services in this way is unique.

More information on the Suffolk Collaborative will be added soon.
