Suffolk Intelligence Network

The Intelligence Network was launched in January 2009 as a vehicle for bringing together research and intelligence staff across the partnership to identify opportunities for collaborative working to improve the quality of what we can provide to the partnership and reduce duplication of effort.

It operates as a virtual network with a number of time limited work projects on areas of mutual interest.

The priorities for the network in 2009 have been to:

Develop and get sign up to an overarching Information Sharing Protocol for Suffolk and associated governance arrangements.

Develop a Local Information System for Suffolk.   A web space to share and present data relating to Suffolk in a highly visual and flexible format will significantly enhance the way decision-makers and the public can see what’s happening in their locality.

Census 2011 Preparation: The next national census is scheduled for March 2011. District,  Borough and County Council census leads are working together with the Office for National Statistics to get the best return we can for Suffolk. Accurate and complete census data provides a sound baseline for future funding allocations and planning.

Membership of the network is open to anyone with an interest in using information intelligently.
